JEWELRY MATERIALS

We offer gold filled as an affordable alternative to solid gold. We produce our pieces using 14 , 18 , 24 karat gold , 925 sterling silver , brass and cubic zirconia. Gold filled is a fraction of the cost of solid gold, less of a concern to allergic reactions, looks and wear like solid gold and can last a long time. Some will say gold filled will never tarnish and it will last but the tarnishing issue depends on the pH of your skin , chemicals from make-up and how good care you take of your pieces. The S925 stamped on our pieces means the jewelry meets the quality standards of silver. The silver content of our pieces is 92.5% and the remaining 7.5% is a comprised layer of gold. S925 jewelry can last through the ages with reasonable care and maintenance. The speed at which this colour fades will depend on various factors that you cannot control , such as how much the wearer sweats, or the pH level your skin but there´s one detail you can control which is the good care you take of your jewelry so we suggest you to purchase our jewelry clean + kit.

JEWELRY CARE:

Gold filled jewelry should be stored in a dry place. Tarnishing elements act very quickly depending on the pH of your skin and the care you take of your jewelry. Knowing the pH of your skin can make all the difference. An acidic pH level in the body will also be manifested through your skin, causing specific reactions with any jewelry that comes in direct contact with it. The pH levels of your skin can cause specific reactions between your skin and your chosen jewelry. Sulfur and amino acids found in perspiration will cause discolorations either on your skin (making it green) or your jewelry. If your sweat has a highly acidic characteristic, chances are, the pieces you’re wearing will tarnish. We recommend you remove jewelry before swimming, exercising, doing physical labor, cleaning or anything else that may scratch or otherwise damage the gold. It is also important to clean your jewelry with appropriate jewelry cleaning solution to remove any dirt, sweat or chemicals that could react with the metals in your gold jewelry and prevent breakdown or damage. cannot guarantee that the gold-plating of our items will last forever. The speed at which this colour fades will depend on various factors that you cannot control , such as the use of chemical products on the skin, how much the wearer sweats, or the pH level your skin but there´s one detail you can control which is the good care you take of your jewelry so we suggest you to purchase our jewelry clean + kit.
